Canada South Science and Discovery Centre (Science City) is one of our regions
most exciting family-centred attractions. Situated in the heart of Windsor, the centre
is a place where people of all ages and science come together, offering visitors an
opportunity to explore science and technology in a way that is simple, entertaining
and easy to understand.

Science City also features interactive exhibits that demonstrate the unique
characteristics of the Windsor and Essex County region. Learn about the
Great Lakes waterway system ... The Carolinian forest...the agriculture and
industries that contribute to the vast resources of our area.

Experience and play with our science...

Pick up a car with one hand...touch a tornado...enclose yourself in a giant bubble...
dig for fossils in the "Big Dig" exhibit area...

Visit our Insect Zoo..look inside a real beehive...test your lung capacity and your
eye-hand coordination...experience the optics and properties of light, the laws of
thermodynamics and the Bernoulli effect...it's all science and technology at your
fingertips - just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed.

Donations and contributions - Together we reach for the stars!
Opening day for Science City is just around the corner (October 2003) and we're
continuing to seek financial help from the community. To date all of the work has
been carried out by volunteers and their generous support -
BUT THERE IS STILL MUCH
WORK TO BE DONE! We urge you to support Science City with cash or in-kind
donations. All contributions will be gratefully recognized and acknowledged with a tax receipt.

You can be an "OWNER"
• For only $25, you can own one square foot of Science City.
• Your name will be engraved on our recognition wall.
• Certificate of ownership and tax receipt issued.

You can be a "STAR"
• For donations above $25
• Your name will appear in a star on the "galaxy of Giving" wall
