Canada South Science City's goal is to be an exciting and effective educational resource for educators and students today and for years to come. Field trip participants of all ages leave with new knowledge, a smile on their faces and many reasons to return. Science City features hundreds of hands-on, interactive science and technology exhibits; a comfortable café equipped with multi-media equipment; a large, fully functional classroom and many additional educational resources to visiting teachers and students. Presently, we provide excellent "edutainment" for children featuring our popular "BIG DIG" and a scavenger hunt that promotes teamwork while discovering scientific principals. Workshops are cross curricular incorporating aspects of science, math, language, drama and art.

Some of the aspects of the curriculum that our exhibits and workshops demonstrate include, but are not limited to, electricity, magnets, structure building, the human body, optical illusions, healthy living, microscopes, the solar system, dinosaurs and more exciting topics that will be sure to amaze you on your upcoming visit.

Student visitors can also enjoy meeting Science City's resident collection of live species including iguanas, sharks, turtles, tree frogs, stingrays, a python and Tara the Tarantula.

Educational programming assets include specialized DVD's in Science City's Bean Bag Theatre, science-based educational software in the Launch Pad for Learning computer science lab, and access to the science centre's Acceleration Cage.
